The NDORS Scheme has been developed by bringing psychologists, sociologists, researchers, road safety experts and police officers together to devise a programme, which targets low level motoring offences by challenging driver behaviour and re- educates motorists and road users.
All of the research has been carried our independently and is statistically significant. Many of the courses have been evaluated to provide an indication of their effectivenss and to help to develop future courses; as well as examining driver behaviour. All of this research has helped to develop NDORS into the robust scheme that it is today.
The monitoring and evaluation are used to improve course delivery and verify to all stakeholders that driver re-education plays a vital role in road safety in the UK.
